As we move forward into 2021 Halliday Finch will be implementing a number of new initiatives and added value mechanisms for our clients. These include:
- Covert Body Cams worn by investigators
- International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Certification
- Client representation on enforcements
- Commercial General Liability Insurance increase
- Investigator Training
- The Halliday Finch Quality Assurance Team
Covert Body Cams
Our field testing has already proven the efficiency and power of this technology and in the first quarter of 2021 we will introduce our new covert audio-visual recording platform as standard to all key investigators.
This will provide our clients with an audit trail and an unprecedented level of situational evidence and accountability.
We expect to be able to deliver video and stills chains-of-evidence, for every case, including:
- initial target report,
- evidentiary test purchase,
- enforcement,
- seizure,
- and where permission granted, destruction.
International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Certification
Our Chief Operating Officer (and Head of Compliance) Tom Devaney – an ISO 9001-qualified Lead Auditor – has committed to commissioning Halliday Finch’s ISO 9001/2015-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) in 2021 in order to position us for international certification by 2022.
The QMS will help us ensure compliance with global standards and regulations. It will also challenge the Halliday Finch team to provide our products and services in the most cost and resource-efficient manner possible to our clients.
Importantly the system underpins continuous improvement across all business functions. ISO 9001:2015 certification will add another level of risk mitigation and peace of mind for all stakeholders.
Client representation on enforcements
We are now in a position to invite two members of our clients’ team to attend any Halliday Finch task. If the security situation dictates, Halliday Finch can provide close protection officers to accompany the clients’ representatives at an extra cost, if this is arranged ahead of time.
Commercial General Liability Insurance Increase
In reflecting the increasing risk profile we saw building in 2020, we will be increasing our Commercial General Liability Insurance by 50% in any one year, by June 2021.
We take our duty of care to our clients very seriously. Even when all steps are taken to mitigate risk, mistakes do happen. To ensure our clients are always covered Halliday Finch carries a $5 million professional indemnity insurance policy with AIG, a world leading insurance company.
Investigator Training
We believe Halliday Finch is only as strong as its least qualified investigator! To that end we have scheduled four Investigator Training Sessions throughout 2021. Our training covers:
- compliance,
- use of technology (including body cams),
- investigative techniques,
- administration,
- ethics.
By 2022, all operational Country Managers and Investigators will be licensed to practice by Halliday Finch. They will be required to maintain their currency through an Annual Professional Competency Audit and this will be linked to the ISO certification.
Halliday Finch Quality Assurance Team
In response to constructive client feedback, we are remodelling accountability across our Admin Support Team. First comes a name change that will change everyone’s mindset from the department being support function to becoming a quality standards driving force.
To that end the Halliday Finch Quality Assurance Team is born. The Quality Assurance Team will have the full power to demand quality submissions from the Investigation Team and from management prior to submission of any external reports.
